This exploration was planned as a regional-linked education donation program to provide students with opportunities for career exploration and to realize practical education donation.

On this day, the middle school students toured the Pukyong National University training ship, Baekgyeongho, in the morning, learning about the professions of engineer and navigator, and experienced the university atmosphere by visiting major campus facilities.

In the afternoon, the 26th CONNECTION Student Council of Pukyong National University acted as mentors, giving department introductions and special lectures on career paths. The Education Donation Hub Support Center and the Student Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in March and agreed to jointly plan and operate career education programs for students in the Gyeongsang region, thereby contributing together to the development of the local community and education.

Ten students participated as mentors in this career special lecture, including Lee Jimin from the Department of Media and Communication, Lee Hyoneung and Jang Yuna from the Big Data Convergence major, Park Jiwoo from the Department of Early Childhood Education, Kim Mingyu and Lee Jimin from the Department of Food Engineering, Park Jiwoong from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Hong Chaerim from the Department of Energy Chemical Materials Engineering, Park Sewon from the P.A.R.K. Club and Department of Aquaculture Applied Life Science, and Lee Gihan from the Department of Resource Biology, providing career mentoring tailored to the middle school students' level.

Student Council President Hwang Donghyun shared, "It was meaningful to introduce Pukyong National University and to discuss career design in various departments together, and I hope it remains a valuable experience for the students."

Moon Jeonga, a student from Ewha Middle School who participated in the program, said, "Thanks to the university student mentors, I was able to think more deeply about my career and set more concrete career goals."

Director Lee Sanggil stated, "Through this program, which allows students to obtain realistic career information by meeting actual university students, we will continue to expand education donation programs so that local middle and high school students can discover various possibilities," adding, "Career-linked education donation, where the local community and university cooperate together, will become an important platform to foster students' career design capabilities and support the growth of local talent."

The Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Hub Support Center was designated by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity in 2023 and established within Pukyong National University. It is solidifying its position as a specialized education donation support institution by providing various high-quality education donation programs to kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high school students in cooperation with institutions, companies, and individual donors.
