Living Expenses Provided to Students from Special Disaster Zones
Seoul National University of Science and Technology announced on the 14th that it will provide a 'Special Support Scholarship' to undergraduate students from areas designated as special disaster zones due to large-scale wildfire damage.
The Special Support Scholarship is one of SeoulTech's scholarship programs, awarded to students who experience sudden financial difficulties due to disasters, changes in family circumstances, or economic conditions.
This Special Support Scholarship is intended to help students affected by the large-scale wildfire continue their studies and to fulfill the university's social responsibility by participating in society's efforts to overcome the disaster.
The scholarship is intended to support living expenses. Eligible recipients are undergraduate students from special disaster areas, and the scholarship amount will be determined by the school based on a damage verification certificate. The payment is scheduled for May, and detailed information about the scholarship can be found on the SeoulTech website.
Kim Dong-hwan, President of SeoulTech, stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the scholarship is provided in a timely manner to students experiencing economic and psychological difficulties due to wildfire damage, creating a stable academic environment." He added, "We will continue to develop various support measures at the university."
