Literary Works and Political Books Show Strong Sales Across Age Groups
Kim Young-ha's One Life Only topped the Yes24 comprehensive bestseller list for the second week of April, marking its third consecutive week at number one. Sales increased by 30.6% compared to the previous week (March 27?April 2) following its official release. Following this, Lee Sun Molik, the most influential figure in the field of artificial intelligence, took second place with Dual Brain, and Kim Jong-won's 100-Day Transcription Notebook to Fill the Dignity of Adulthood ranked third. The popular comic book Sakamoto Days Beginners Pack Vol.2 came in fourth, and essayist Tae-su's Adult Happiness is Quiet placed fifth.
Literary works remained popular as well. The Boy is Coming ranked sixth, Contradiction twelfth, and the 2025 16th Young Writers Award Anthology placed tenth. The anthology features seven works by key figures leading Korean literature, including the grand prize winner Baek On-yu and three other authors.
Lee Jae-myung, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, saw his new book In the End, the People Do It reach ninth place overall and top the real-time bestseller list just one day after pre-orders began on the 9th.
Additionally, following the Constitutional Court's ruling on the 4th and the increasing number of readers wanting to read the full decision, Presidential Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment Case Ruling Decision entered the bestseller list immediately after publication. This book showed a high purchase rate among politically interested readers aged 40 to 50 (70.1%).
