Bumin Hospital Group Opens Korea's Largest Preventive Medicine Center in Magok

Total Floor Area of 2,670 Pyeong: Korea's Largest Health Screening Center to Open
Smart Screening System Utilizing Automation, Genomic Analysis, and AI Technology

Bumin Hospital Group will open the 'Bumin Prestige Lifecare Center Magok' this coming August.

The preventive medicine center, to be established in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, will boast the largest single-floor area in Korea at 2,670 pyeong. Bumin Hospital Group plans to officially launch its health checkup business with this center.

This center will enable accurate and rapid examinations for clients by introducing a smart screening system utilizing automation, genomic analysis, and AI technologies.

Additionally, for the first time, an automated blood collection system will be introduced. The entire process, from automatic transport of specimens collected in the blood collection room to preprocessing and result analysis, will be automated, enabling the handling of large volumes of test information without errors.

With the introduction of Roche's state-of-the-art Total Laboratory Automation (TLA) system, the Cobas Connection Module (CCM), immunoassays and biochemical tests are connected on a single track, enabling optimized workflow and improving testing efficiency.

At Bumin Prestige Lifecare Center, AI technology will also be applied to key diagnostic equipment such as MRI and CT scanners to enhance clinical utility and diagnostic speed. The adoption of smart speed technology will further differentiate the center.

For imaging diagnostics, the Philips MRI 'Ingenia 3.0T CX' will be introduced. The Ingenia 3.0T CX is equipped with ambient lighting to provide psychological comfort, alleviating fear of imaging tests and reducing examination time by up to 50% compared to conventional MRI without compromising image quality.

Additionally, the ComforTone technology, which reduces the loud noise of MRI scans, will provide a comfortable testing environment for patients. This equipment is expected to be highly versatile, providing clear images of a wide range of body parts, including the nervous and musculoskeletal systems as well as the abdomen and heart. The simultaneously introduced Philips 'Incisive CT' will employ the iDose4 system to minimize patient radiation exposure, enabling the same image quality as before even at lower doses.

Furthermore, with the InnoClass whole genome analysis system, a precision medicine platform, the center will provide personalized services for cancer and rare diseases. Clients will also receive fast and accurate test results through AI-powered image interpretation, real-time endoscopy data analysis, and digital pathology reading services. In addition, specialized clinics will be operated for disease treatment using hyperbaric oxygen chambers and for strengthening immunity.

A group representative stated that a one-stop service?from reservation to result inquiry?will be provided through the introduction of a medical information system in collaboration with GC Green Cross. Clients will be able to check their examination results on the same day, and those with findings will receive lifestyle improvement consultations on exercise, nutrition, and stress management. This service will also provide personalized follow-up examinations according to each client's health management cycle.

Jung Hoonjae, Director of Bumin Future Medical Research Institute, said, "Bumin Prestige Lifecare Center will go beyond simple disease diagnosis to contribute to improving quality of life through disease management and prompt treatment for those with findings, and will establish itself as a space offering a healthier and differentiated experience for the general public."
