Since 1948, ChildFund Korea has been operating as a child welfare organization dedicated to the happy growth of children. Through this emergency living expense support project, a total of 500 million won will be provided to students and child welfare facilities in the Gyeongbuk region to help children affected by wildfires return to their daily lives as quickly as possible.

World Vision is a private international non-profit organization that began in the aftermath of the Korean War 70 years ago. For families of students affected by the recent wildfires, the organization will provide 242 million won in emergency post-disaster reconstruction support, as well as 58 million won for psychological therapy and emotional support kits.

Save the Children is an international child rights NGO working to realize the rights of children to survival, protection, development, and participation. Starting on the 3rd with support for students affected by wildfires in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, the organization will provide emergency living expenses, daily necessities, hygiene products, and educational supplies to student families in four other regions (Andong, Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang). In addition, a total of 900 million won in support projects will be carried out, including disaster psychological recovery programs and support for child welfare facilities affected by fire.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continue strengthening its support system by closely cooperating with emergency relief organizations and the local community in the event of natural disasters or other emergencies, so that students can quickly return to their daily lives and focus on their studies.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik of Gyeongbuk Office of Education said, "I hope that through this support, students affected by wildfires will be able to return to a stable daily life as soon as possible. The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will continue to prioritize student welfare and safety, and will consistently prepare various support measures. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the representatives of World Vision, ChildFund Korea, and Save the Children for their warm interest and generous support for the students of Gyeongbuk."
