As the number of cardiac arrest patients in Korea has recently increased, interest in and the distribution rate of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have risen, leading to growing attention on remote management systems (RMS) that can manage AEDs more efficiently.
CU Medical System developed and launched a remote management system (RMS) in 2023. Currently, it provides sales and services in several countries including Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
The RMS developed by CU Medical allows users to check equipment status, AED consumables (pads and batteries) expiration dates and conditions, equipment disconnection, and Power On/Off through online platforms and applications.
Additionally, if an issue occurs with the AED product, the system sends real-time notifications via email, app push alerts, and text messages to the registered administrators. This feature improves the efficiency of administrators' tasks while increasing the survival rate of patients in emergency situations.
A CU Medical representative stated, "We will continue to lead the AED market competitively through various services."
