198 Athletes to Compete in 11 Events
The Gyeonggi Paju City Disabled Sports Association announced on the 10th that it held a team rally ceremony for the athletes participating in the '15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Competition 2025 Gapyeong' at the Geumchon Multipurpose Indoor Gymnasium on the 9th.

The event, held to boost morale and encourage the athletes participating in the '15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Competition,' was attended by about 200 people, including Kim Kyung-il, Mayor of Paju and president of the association, executives of the Paju Disabled Sports Association, heads of affiliated organizations, and the athletes, who wished for the athletes' success.
The ceremony proceeded with the opening announcement, introduction of guests, participation report, encouragement and congratulatory speeches, presentation of the team flag, and the athletes' oath, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and support.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, "I send my wholehearted applause to all the athletes who have endured tough training," and added, "I support the process of you doing your best rather than the results, and hope you showcase the skills you have built up so far and successfully complete the competition."
Meanwhile, Paju City is the host of the 2024-2025 Gyeonggi-do Comprehensive Sports Competition and is preparing to host the '19th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports for All Competition' and the '36th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival' this coming September.
