Seocho-gu operates a 510m section of Banpo-daero, from the National Library of Korea to Seorae Park, as the 'Seocho Book Street.' Starting with this Library Day event, the district will open the reading festival of 'Seocho Book Street' for this year.

This event offers an opportunity to preview the reading culture content of 'Seocho Book Street' that will continue in the future, themed as 'Book Lunch,' which allows participants to savor the nourishment of the mind through books.

In particular, the event will introduce for the first time the outdoor library 'Traveling Study,' which visits various local areas. The 'Traveling Study,' which moves by vehicle, functions like a library itself, allowing the borrowing and returning of bestsellers, and hosting various book-related events such as small-scale book concerts. To commemorate the first meeting with the 'Traveling Study,' a book talk with Choi Hye-jin, the author of the picture book 'Podobangbang,' is arranged.

The popular Reading Golden Bell event returns as the 'Family Reading Golden Bell' targeting families with preschool children. A total of 70 families will gather through pre-registration and on-site registration to compete in reading knowledge by solving OX quizzes based on well-known fairy tales. Additionally, various book-related experiential events will be held at libraries throughout the region.

Starting with the Book Lunch, the 'Seocho Book Street' events will be held in full swing. Various themed reading festivals such as Book Picnic, Book Vacation, and Book Camp will take place on Seocho Book Street. Festival news can be found on the Seocho-gu Public Library website.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, "This year as well, we will come to residents in various ways so that they can experience a special reading culture where culture, art, and books harmonize on 'Seocho Book Street.'"
