LDT, established in 1997 and listed on KOSDAQ in 2008, is a semiconductor and disaster prevention company located in Cheonan, Chungnam. It provides display driving and Internet of Things (IoT) related solutions, and develops, manufactures, and sells LED, PMOLED, and AMOLED driving ICs. It also offers IoT platforms and solutions based on Korea's first patented quantitative flower garden technology.
LDT was selected last year in the top 50 public innovation achievements for small and medium enterprise research and development (R&D) excellence by preventing over 20 real fires through its IoT fire detector 'Safe Mate Solution.' The Safe Mate solution attracted attention for its function of early fire detection and monitoring using multi-composite sensors for flame, smoke, and temperature, automatically reporting to 119 or transmitting the situation to mobile phones.
Director Kim visited LDT to check the company's main products and current status. Through a meeting with CEO Jung Jae-cheon of LDT, he listened to opinions on small and medium enterprise R&D support projects. CEO Jung said, "Through the SME R&D support project, we were able to recruit R&D personnel and solve funding issues, enabling us to develop a wireless fire detector that can flexibly respond to various installation environments."
Director Kim stated, "Seeing LDT's continuous technological innovation and high-quality management status, I realized the importance of R&D," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support SME R&D for the birth of companies that solve public safety and social issues."
