Genesis Music and Bloomberg App Now Available Free of Charge
Enjoy Premium Streaming Services Without Additional Sign-Ups or Subscriptions
Unlimited Access to In-Vehicle Content for Up to Five Years
Genesis is expanding the application of dedicated streaming content to more vehicle models in order to provide infotainment experiences to a wider range of consumers.
Starting from the 10th, the Genesis brand announced that through over-the-air (OTA) software updates, Genesis vehicles equipped with the 'ccIC' infotainment system will be provided with high-quality dedicated streaming content services, 'Genesis Music' and the 'Bloomberg App,' free of charge.
The Bloomberg App is supported on all vehicle models, while Genesis Music is available on all models except for the G90 models prior to 2024, the pre-facelift GV60 models, and the electrified GV70 models. Customers can freely enjoy the new content via wireless software updates without visiting service centers or creating separate accounts or subscribing to paid plans.
Genesis Music maximizes the vehicle audio performance based on the Dolby Atmos spatial sound system, providing an immersive music listening experience. It allows convenient music search and recommended song selection without smartphone connection, and there is no sound quality loss that typically occurs with Bluetooth connections. With this update, users can enjoy unlimited streaming of Genesis Music free of charge for up to five years.
The Bloomberg App is a service that provides real-time access to Bloomberg TV+, Bloomberg Originals, and news feeds from the global news platform Bloomberg. It is exclusively supported by Genesis.
The Bloomberg TV+ and news feed menus offer translation functions in five languages including Korean, Chinese, German, French, and Arabic, and users can access Bloomberg app news and securities information unlimitedly without login procedures until October next year.
Additionally, Genesis is offering customers of the G90, G80 (including electrified models), and GV80 (including coupe) a free one-year Bloomberg subscription worth $299, which allows access to Bloomberg content not only in the vehicle but also on personal devices such as smartphones and tablets.
A Genesis representative stated, "Genesis Music and Bloomberg services can be easily used without separate sign-ups or account creation," adding, "We will continue to improve the in-vehicle content consumption experience by providing services that can be used without cumbersome procedures."
