A 38-Pyeong Landmark Store Launch

Musinsa announced on the 10th that it will open the first official offline store of 'Matin Kim' in Japan on the 24th of this month.

Matin Kim's first store in Japan will open in Shibuya, known as a representative bustling district in Tokyo, Japan. It will be established on the 2nd floor of the complex cultural space 'Miyashita Park,' which is considered a landmark even in Shibuya with an average daily foot traffic of 3 million people, with a sales area of approximately 38 pyeong. Miyashita Park is a popular shopping destination housing various fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brand stores, including luxury brands.

Musinsa and Matin Kim officially signed a general distribution partnership last November and have been actively entering the Japanese market. Utilizing Musinsa's local network and infrastructure in Japan, they are actively supporting the expansion of Matin Kim's offline distribution channels. Matin Kim Shibuya store is the first case where Musinsa, as a global official collaboration partner of domestic fashion brands, opens an overseas store.

At the Matin Kim Shibuya store, popular brand products that received positive responses from local customers at the Musinsa Global Store and the previous Osaka pop-up will be showcased. New products for the spring and summer seasons of this year will also be introduced. A signature logo crop t-shirt will be released as a Shibuya store limited item. Matin Kim's high-end line 'KIMMATIN' products will also be available.

Musinsa will also conduct art collaborations so that customers visiting the Matin Kim Shibuya store can experience Matin Kim's unique and original mood. Installation art works by the textile studio 'Fivecomma,' which depicts a forest, will be exhibited.

A Musinsa official said, "Matin Kim is a brand that has attracted significant attention from local customers, with its transaction volume in Japan through the global store growing more than threefold in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous year," adding, "Starting with the strategically important Shibuya store for entering Japan, we plan to consider opening additional stores to provide more customers with brand experiences."
