According to Uijeongbu City on the 9th, the city plans to implement support projects in various fields such as finance, sales channels, and technology development. The main projects include ▲support for companies participating in domestic and international exhibitions ▲support for intellectual property creation ▲smart factory establishment and consulting ▲customized support for SME development, production, and sales channels. In addition, amid ongoing domestic and international uncertainties such as global economic recession, rising raw material prices, and shrinking domestic demand, the city has prepared various policies to ensure that SMEs, the core players of the local economy, can remain stable and self-reliant.

The 'Support Project for Companies Participating in Domestic and International Exhibitions' in the sales channel sector provides comprehensive support including participation fees, pre-education, and post-performance management to help companies expand their sales channels. For international exhibitions, the support budget has been increased by 20% compared to the previous year to reduce the relatively high participation cost burden and increase the benefits companies can receive. This project is scheduled to be announced on the Uijeongbu City and KINTEX websites within this month.

Also, the 'Customized Support Project for SME Development, Production, and Sales Channels,' which helps local SMEs commercialize their businesses through step-by-step support, will begin full-scale support this month following the first recruitment in March. Starting with product production such as prototype manufacturing in April, applications will be accepted by sector, including invention and development fields such as patents in July. Eligible applicants are SMEs with headquarters or factories located in Uijeongbu City, engaged in manufacturing or knowledge-based service industries with annual sales of 12 billion KRW or less and full payment of local taxes. Applications are being accepted through the Gyeonggi Business Secretary website.

The 'Smart Factory Establishment and Consulting Project,' which supports the establishment of 'smart factories' suitable for manufacturing sites, is also extending its recruitment period to attract applicants. Support of up to 50 million KRW is provided for basic equipment such as automation devices and 'smart factory software' for product design improvement and production process efficiency. Recruitment will be announced and conducted through the Gyeonggi Technopark website within this month.

In addition, the city supports companies in various areas such as finance and startups. It provides funding for stable business operations of local SMEs and small business owners through programs such as the 'Gyeonggi-do SME Development Fund,' 'SME Special Guarantee,' 'Small Business Special Guarantee' for small business owners, and 'Content Company Special Guarantee' for content companies. Detailed information on support procedures and limits can be obtained by contacting the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation.

In the startup sector, the city supports successful commercialization by providing office space and startup education in collaboration with local related organizations such as the 'Gyeonggi Content Agency Northern Gyeonggi Culture and Creation Hub' and the 'Uijeongbu City One-person Creative Enterprise Support Center' for early-stage and prospective entrepreneurs.

Uijeongbu City plans to continue promoting job creation and economic revitalization through ongoing support for companies.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, "The local economy will be revitalized when companies grow," adding, "We will do our best to ensure companies can grow stably through practical support."

Meanwhile, in February, the city published the '2025 Uijeongbu City Corporate Support Policy Guidebook' to help companies easily utilize various support policies. It also organizes information on various support projects from Gyeonggi Province and related organizations and posts them in the corporate support section of the city’s website.
