Oisolution Participates in World's Largest Optical Communication Exhibition... "Showcases Various Network Optical Transceivers"

OISolution, a global leader in the field of optical networking, announced on the 9th that it participated in 'OFC 2025,' the world's largest optical communication exhibition held in San Francisco, USA, from the 30th of last month to the 3rd, showcasing various network optical transceivers tailored for the US market.

Oisolution Participates in World's Largest Optical Communication Exhibition... "Showcases Various Network Optical Transceivers"

At the exhibition, OISolution presented a variety of optical transceivers across different platforms, including 25~100Gbps optical transceivers for 5G Advanced and 6G fronthaul, 100~400Gbps coherent optical transceivers for backhaul, and 400~800Gbps optical transceivers for data centers.

A company representative explained, "There were many consultations regarding future new demand for 25~100Gbps for next-generation mobile networks such as 5G Advanced and 6G fronthaul," adding, "Customers showed great interest in the demonstration of the intelligent 25Gbps narrowband wavelength-tunable optical transceiver module."

The intelligent 25Gbps narrowband wavelength-tunable optical transceiver features Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC) that doubles the transmission distance and channel control via the Auxiliary Management and Control Channel (AMCC). Designed for industrial temperature operation, this module simplifies inventory management in 5G-Advanced mobile fronthaul applications where efficient spectrum utilization is critical. It significantly reduces operating costs, enhancing customer satisfaction. OISolution demonstrated two separate modules covering eight channels each within the 1529.55~1541.35nm range.

The company has already completed verification of prototypes with customers and prepared for the OFC demonstration. Mass production samples will be supplied starting from the third quarter of this year, with full-scale production beginning by the end of the year.

For backhaul, while there is demand for the currently mass-produced 10W power consumption version of the 100Gbps coherent optical transceiver, the US market requires a low-power 100Gbps coherent optical transceiver with 6W power consumption. During OFC, the company held detailed consultations with many customers regarding sample supply schedules and product approvals for this product.

Wonki Lee, Vice President of OISolution, stated, "The new intelligent 25Gbps 8-channel narrowband wavelength-tunable optical transceiver provides precise tunability and long-distance transmission performance through essential features such as EDC and AMCC to 5G-Advanced mobile network operators," adding, "Customers can build cost-effective and scalable solutions for next-generation networks." He further said, "The 100G coherent optical transceiver, which has already started mass production with domestic customers, will expand sales and solidify a strong market position in the US market through sample supply and mass production of low-power specifications agreed upon with US customers within this year."

Meanwhile, OISolution announced its preliminary first-quarter results (fair disclosure) the day before. First-quarter sales reached 14.07 billion KRW, up 74% year-on-year and 54% quarter-on-quarter.
