SK ecoplant announced on the 9th that it will establish an industry-academia-research cooperation system for the development and commercialization of semiconductor industry technologies.
On the previous day, SK ecoplant signed a business agreement to establish the 'Semiconductor Open Innovation Program' at Hannam University’s 56th Anniversary Hall in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.
The Semiconductor Open Innovation Program is a semiconductor industry-specialized open innovation program promoted based on SK ecoplant’s technology innovation platform 'Eco Open Platform,' which was launched in 2023.
In particular, SK ecoplant focused this year’s program on innovative technologies in the comprehensive semiconductor service sector. The goal is to create synergy through technological innovation in the business developed as a new growth engine. The detailed demand technologies include ▲ enhancing semiconductor EPC productivity ▲ advancing semiconductor water treatment ▲ recycling semiconductor byproducts.
Im Jae-wook, Head of the Management Support Center at SK ecoplant, stated, "To foster the growth of the comprehensive semiconductor service industry, we will spare no effort in all-around collaboration and support, including the development and acquisition of core technologies with innovative companies and partner institutions, as well as the promotion of technology commercialization."
