Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Hosts Tourism Photo Contest... Entries Accepted Until October 10

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is holding a 'Tourism Photo Contest' to discover outstanding tourism resources and hidden gems in Gyeonggi Province.


The contest themes include festivals, tourist attractions, natural scenery, cultural heritage, and cultural experience sites, covering a wide range of tourism resources within the province. Only unpublished works taken after January 1, 2024, are eligible for submission.


The contest period runs from April 11 to October 10, 2025, and is open to everyone, regardless of nationality. Each participant may submit up to five entries, with a maximum of two entries allowed if the shooting locations are similar.


Applications for the contest can be submitted through the official website (www.경기도관광사진공모전.kr). A total of 170 winning entries will be selected through a judging process and awarded.

The total prize pool is 19.7 million won, with one Grand Prize winner receiving 1 million won, two Excellence Awards of 500,000 won each, five Special Prizes of 300,000 won each, and 162 Honorable Mentions of 100,000 won each.


The Grand Prize and Excellence Award winners will receive a certificate from the President of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, while the Special Prize and Honorable Mention winners will be awarded a certificate from the President of the Gyeonggi Province branch of the Korea Photographers Association.


The winners will be determined through a combination of expert evaluation and a preference survey among Gyeonggi residents.


The final results will be announced on November 26, 2025, on both the contest website and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization website.


A representative from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "Through this contest, we aim to secure high-quality photographic content that captures the diverse charm of Gyeonggi's tourist destinations and actively utilize it for domestic and international promotional marketing in the future. We hope that many people interested in travel photography will participate."
