Participation in 'Data Center World 2025'
Showcasing Power and Automation Solution Packages
Strategy to Expand in the U.S. Power Market
LS Electric is unveiling customized innovative solutions for data centers in North America and expanding its local business.
LS Electric announced that it will participate in 'Data Center World 2025,' the largest data center exhibition in North America, held from April 15 to 17 (local time) at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., USA.
Participating for the first time in this exhibition, LS Electric will set up a 6-booth (54㎡) exhibition space and unveil a total power and automation solution package tailored for data centers.
As representative power solution products, it will showcase ▲Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL), which won the Innovation Award at this year’s CES, the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition, ▲the first UL-certified distribution system in Korea, ▲Power Distribution Units (PDU), and ▲Remote Power Panels (RPP). For automation solutions, it will introduce ▲high-efficiency inverter H100 and ▲compact inverter SP100, high-performance inverters necessary for data center air conditioning systems.
Gu Ja-kyun, Chairman of LS Electric, recently emphasized, "We will open a full-fledged growth era by strengthening five core businesses centered on the global data center business," accelerating the expansion of the data center business mainly in North America.
Last month, LS Electric signed a power solution supply contract worth 160 billion KRW with a major North American big tech company. Recently, the North American data center market has been growing rapidly due to the surge in data processing driven by advancements in digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. In particular, with the increasing demand for high-performance computing (HPC), the importance of energy efficiency and stable power supply is emphasized, and thus demand for power systems such as high-voltage infrastructure and distribution systems (power distribution devices) is expected to continue rising.
According to industry sources, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of data center power demand is estimated at 11% from 2023 to 2028, and when including AI data centers, the CAGR is expected to be between 26% and 36%. LS Electric is focusing on the U.S. distribution market, which has high growth potential, and plans to strengthen partnerships with local power companies and concentrate on brand localization.
LS Electric is responding to customer demands through its own distribution network and A/S infrastructure established across North America, centered on its U.S. subsidiary. It has built a local design, production, and supply system centered on the 'Bastrop Campus' in Texas and the distribution system subsidiary 'MCMⅡ' located in Utah.
An LS Electric official said, "North American data centers are currently and will continue to be the largest market in the power industry worldwide," adding, "Now is the optimal timing to secure market leadership, so we will accelerate market penetration by combining innovative products and technology with customized localization strategies."
