Signed Four Executive Orders
Reversing Regulations from the Former Biden Administration
U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order to revive the coal industry in the United States.
On the 8th (local time), President Trump signed four executive orders at the White House aimed at revitalizing the coal industry in the U.S. Each executive order included provisions to ▲ halt discriminatory policies related to the coal industry by all federal government departments and agencies ▲ stop the closure of coal-fired power plants due to regulations from the previous Joe Biden administration ▲ stabilize the power grid through coal power ▲ investigate illegal and unconstitutional policies that discriminate against the coal industry in certain states.
In particular, President Trump announced that he would utilize the Defense Production Act to promote coal mining. He said, "We will expedite coal mining permits," adding, "Coal is the most reliable, safe, and powerful energy. Moreover, it is affordable, highly efficient, and nearly indestructible."
He continued, "We will continue to use affordable American energy, including beautiful and clean coal," and said, "The United States is a blessed country with the richest natural resources on Earth. We will use these resources very responsibly."
President Trump also stated, "I believe that the coal mining process can extract enormous amounts of critical minerals needed for advanced technologies," and added, "We will make the United States a country with overwhelming mineral resource power."
Regarding global warming, President Trump said, "There is no need to worry (about the environment). The air will warm slightly, and sea levels will rise by about a quarter of an inch over the next 500 to 600 years."
Dozens of coal miners attended the event, listened to President Trump's speech, and watched him sign the executive orders.
