Daebongsan, Yongchu, and Sansam Natural Recreation Forests, etc.
Hamyang County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 9th that it will fully reopen the operation of three natural recreation forests in the area to provide visitors with safer and more pleasant forest recreation services in the spring season.
The county completed facility improvement works and safety inspections during the past winter, and as a result, Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest, Yongchu Natural Recreation Forest, and Sansam Natural Recreation Forest will open sequentially on April 2 and 9.
In particular, Sansam Natural Recreation Forest is a “pet-friendly recreation forest” where up to two dogs per room are allowed, which is expected to attract high interest from pet-owning families. However, when bringing dogs, guardians must strictly comply with the usage rules, and detailed information can be found in the notices on the Sansam Natural Recreation Forest website.
Reservations for the natural recreation forests can only be made online through the “Supnadle” website, and from the 1st to the 3rd of each month, a “priority reservation system” is available for county residents, provincial residents, and Forest Welfare Voucher users. The regular closing day is every Tuesday.
In addition, Hamyang County residents and 5.18 Democratic Merit recipients are eligible for a 30% discount on usage fees.
Lee Jaechul, head of the Forest and Greenery Division of Hamyang County, said, “We are very pleased to fully resume the operation of the natural recreation forests with the vibrant start of spring,” and added, “We will do our best so that both residents and visitors can experience healing and relaxation in the forest.”
For detailed usage instructions and other information, please refer to the notices on the “Supnadle” website of each natural recreation forest.
