Former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min urged the acceptance of a 'complete national primary' regarding the presidential election primary rules on the 8th.
On the same day, Yoo posted on social media, "There are talks that the primary rules cannot be changed due to time constraints," and pointed out, "I question whether there is truly a will to win the presidential election."
He referred to a past case where the party convention primary rules were revised in just four days, questioning the party's will to win the presidential election. Yoo said, "From the emergency committee's decision on December 19, 2022, to the online national committee's approval on the 23rd, the party changed the primary rules to '100% party members' in a flash," adding, "The only reason was to prevent Yoo Seung-min, who was overwhelmingly leading in public opinion, from becoming the party leader."

Compared to that time, Yoo said, "Back then was peacetime, now is wartime," emphasizing, "If we truly want to defeat Lee Jae-myung, we must put forward the candidate that the public desires."
Yoo stated, "Only a candidate who can defeat Lee Jae-myung from the moderate camp can bring victory in the presidential election," and "Once again, I urge the election commission and the leadership to hold a complete national primary." He added, "Only a primary that follows public sentiment creates an inspiring drama and brings victory," and "The People Power Party must listen to the voice of the people."
He also added, "Why turn away from the path to victory and head towards defeat?"
