Busan Gijang-gun Holds 2nd Industrial Safety and Health Committee Meeting

Gijang-gun held the '2025 2nd Industrial Safety and Health Committee' meeting in the briefing room of Gijang-gun Office on the 7th to ensure a safe working environment for county employees and to manage the prevention of industrial accidents.

The committee was attended by County Mayor Jeong Jongbok, Park Jongchun, head of the Gijang-gun branch of the Busan Public Officials Labor Union, and other labor-management representative members.

They discussed and exchanged opinions on major issues in the field of industrial safety and health, including: ▲ the status of industrial accidents and safety incidents in the first quarter of 2025 and measures to prevent recurrence ▲ plans to fulfill safety and health obligations to prevent serious industrial accidents ▲ plans to conduct risk assessments at workplaces within the county office.

County Mayor Jeong Jongbok stated, "By regularly holding the Industrial Safety and Health Committee, we will listen to the opinions of workers and do our utmost to prevent industrial accidents and safety incidents," and urged, "I ask that all employees remain vigilant about safety and strictly observe safety and health regulations."

The Gijang-gun Industrial Safety and Health Committee was established in accordance with Article 24 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act to prevent industrial accidents in county-managed workplaces in advance and to promote the health and create a safe working environment for on-site workers. The committee consists of 14 members, with seven worker representatives and seven employer representatives, and deliberates and decides on major matters related to the safety and health of on-site employees (public officials, fixed-term workers, public job workers, etc.) belonging to the county.
