Gyeongbuk Provincial Council Donates 40.97 Million Won for Wildfire Relief... "We Will Prepare Measures to Prevent Recurrence"

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Council (Chairman Park Seongman) held a donation ceremony on the 8th and delivered donations and relief supplies worth approximately 40.97 million KRW to the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea to support the recovery efforts in five cities and counties severely affected by the massive wildfire.

The donations and relief supplies consist of 20.97 million KRW voluntarily raised by all council members and staff of the council's secretariat, 10 million KRW in disaster relief funds from the Council of Chairpersons of Provincial Councils of Korea, and emergency relief supplies worth 10 million KRW to support the wildfire victims.

The donated funds and relief supplies will be delivered to the five affected cities and counties through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea and will be used to support the stabilization of housing and recovery efforts for the wildfire victims.

Chairman Park Seongman stated, "The significance of this donation and relief supply delivery lies in the fact that it was voluntarily collected with the united hearts and minds of all our council members and staff," and added, "The Gyeongbuk Provincial Council will mobilize all available resources to ensure a swift recovery so that residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible. At the same time, we will work closely with relevant agencies to establish fundamental measures to prevent such disasters from recurring."
