A Variety of Attractions Including Drone Show and Busking Performances
The 'Nokdong Port Drone Show,' which has established itself as the signature nighttime tourism content of Goheung County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Youngmin), is set to make a spectacular opening at 8 p.m. on April 12 at the Nokdong Port Sea Garden area.
This opening ceremony will proceed in the order of a busking performance, the opening event, and then the drone show.
To commemorate the 2025 opening, a total of 2,025 drones will be deployed for the drone show, which will brilliantly illuminate the night sky over Nokdong Port with content themed around Goheung's three major development strategies and three key transportation infrastructures. In addition, a unique display using 200 drones equipped with fireworks will provide an even richer spectacle for visitors.
The Nokdong Port Sea Garden area, where the drone show takes place, is also famous for its delicious food. In addition to the signature grilled eel and eel soup, visitors can enjoy seasonal dishes at food stalls and light snacks from food trucks.
The county is making thorough preparations to ensure that the largest-ever drone show is conducted safely. In cooperation with the Goheung Police Station and the Model Drivers' Association, traffic will be controlled, and the county will work with local community organizations to maintain safety and order.
Furthermore, starting this year, the drone show will be held every Saturday from April to October at the Nokdong Port Sea Garden, and on the last Friday of each month, it will also take place at the Citizens' Square in front of Goheung County Office.
Gong Youngmin, the county governor, stated, "The Nokdong Port Drone Show is a tourism hit product of Goheung County. We have prepared an even more special program so that more tourists will visit Goheung and contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "From this year, we will also host the drone show and busking performances once a month in Goheung-eup to provide more cultural experiences for residents and inject new energy into the region."
The county analyzed that since its debut in 2023, the Goheung Nokdong Port Drone Show has been held 52 times over two years, attracting approximately 420,000 visitors and generating an economic impact of 35 billion won.
