Mokpo-Shinan Integration Promotion Booth Draws Attention at Yudalsan Flower Festival
Highlighting the Positive Effects of Administrative Unification
Mokpo City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that it operated a Mokpo-Shinan Integration Promotion Booth together with members of the Mokpo-Shinan Integration Promotion Committee (Chairman Ko Seokgyu) during the recent Yudalsan Spring Festival.
At the booth, leaflets produced to promote the necessity and positive effects of the Mokpo-Shinan integration and balloons printed with the phrase "Mokpo-Shinan Integration" were distributed to attract the interest of citizens.

About 1,700 citizens actively participated by writing hopeful messages for the Mokpo-Shinan integration, aimed at overcoming the crisis of regional extinction and passing on a better Mokpo to future generations.
So far, the city has continued to promote mutual understanding between the two regions through urban-rural sisterhood agreements, rural volunteer work, beauty service volunteering, and kimchi sharing events. In addition, the city is making every effort to push forward administrative integration for the co-prosperity of both regions by signing agreements for cooperative projects and identifying additional collaborative opportunities.
A city official stated, "We will do our utmost to achieve the Mokpo-Shinan integration based on the empathy and trust between the two regions."
