Jeollanam-do is recruiting companies to participate in CES 2026 to expand the global market entry of local businesses, building on the recent achievement of tangible export results worth $33.22 million (approximately 50 billion KRW) at the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition, CES.

Jeollanam-do demonstrated the effectiveness of its support for CES participation by having a total of 22 local companies attend CES 2024 and CES 2025, leading to actual export contracts and commercialization beyond simple consultations or MOU signings.

In fact, Software Convergence Research Institute introduced its AI-based non-invasive blood glucose meter technology to a Hong Kong buyer at CES 2024 and secured an export contract worth $30 million. The first delivery is scheduled for May.

At CES 2025, metaverse content company Newjak Co., Ltd. won two CES Innovation Awards in the metaverse and content/entertainment sectors. The award-winning product, ‘X-Runner,’ allows users to experience immersive extended reality (XR) without a head-mounted display (HMD), making it possible to implement space-customized metaverse solutions.

Energy company BK Energy Co., Ltd. signed an export contract for floating solar power generation equipment worth $3.214 million with a U.S. company at CES 2024, and at CES 2025 signed export MOUs totaling $28 million with companies from the U.S. and Nigeria. The rotary floating solar system is an eco-friendly technology with over 15% higher power generation efficiency compared to fixed systems.

After participating in CES 2025, Terrawave Co., Ltd. received numerous inquiries for its smart farm automation solutions both domestically and internationally, leading to actual sales contracts.

Based on these achievements, Jeollanam-do plans to recruit CES 2026 participants until the 21st and select 12 companies based on technological capability and innovation. Selected companies will receive tailored programs including: ▲CES Innovation Award-winning strategy consulting ▲Global buyer-targeted IR programs ▲Networking with venture capitalists (VCs) ▲On-site interpretation and marketing support.

In particular, Jeollanam-do plans to operate a ‘Jeonnam-style export promotion package’ that covers everything from exhibition to export consultations and investment attraction, focusing on companies in advanced technology fields such as AI, energy, aerospace, and digital healthcare.

Shin Hyungon, Director of International Cooperation for Jeollanam-do, emphasized, “Companies are achieving tangible results at CES, such as actual export contracts and entry into global platforms, going beyond simple technology showcases. We will actively provide tailored support to help them prove their competitiveness in the global market at CES 2026 as well.”
