The Youth Participation Committee is an organization established to guarantee youth autonomy, enhance policy effectiveness, and promote their rights. It operates so that youth can play an active role as participants rather than just beneficiaries of policies.

Now in its 14th term, the Youth Participation Committee plans to carry out various activities throughout 2025, including △ youth policy monitoring △ youth living condition surveys △ operation of policy proposal forums. They will play a practical role in making Geumcheon a city where youth are happy.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the youth leader joint workshop “Geumcheon Univ” was also held. Leaders from middle and high school student councils and youth training facility autonomous organizations gathered in one place to strengthen leadership and establish a foundation for mutual cooperation through leadership lectures, networking activities, and youth-led idea planning.
In particular, at this workshop, various ideas proposed by youth leaders were reflected in the “1st Geumcheon-gu Youth Month Commemoration Festival.” These ideas will be linked to future policy proposal discussions and lead to the development of practical youth policies.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “The voice of youth is the foundation for the future of the region,” and added, “We will actively support youth so that they can take the lead in participating in community change.”
