On the 8th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will have mostly cloudy skies and high levels of fine dust in the morning, but it will clear up from the afternoon, returning to mild weather. The temperature difference between day and night is expected to exceed 15 degrees Celsius, especially in inland areas.


According to the Gwangju Meteorological Administration, the region will be affected by a high-pressure system moving from the southern seas of Jeju Island to the southern seas of Japan. The morning low will range from 6 to 11 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high will rise to between 16 and 23 degrees Celsius.


The morning lows will be 6 degrees in Gokseong, 7 degrees in Jangseong, Damyang, Gurye, Hampyeong, Naju, Hwasun, Jangheung, and Boseong, 8 degrees in Muan, Yeongam, Gangjin, and Goheung, 9 degrees in Gwangju, Yeonggwang, Shinan, Haenam, Jindo, and Suncheon, 10 degrees in Gwangyang and Mokpo, and 11 degrees in Wando and Yeosu.


The daytime highs will be 23 degrees in Gurye, Suncheon, and Gwangyang, 22 degrees in Damyang, Gokseong, and Hwasun, 21 degrees in Gwangju, Jangseong, Naju, Jangheung, Boseong, and Goheung, 20 degrees in Haenam, Gangjin, and Wando, 19 degrees in Yeosu and Hampyeong, 18 degrees in Yeonggwang and Muan, 17 degrees in Jindo, and 16 degrees in Shinan and Mokpo, indicating mild weather.


Waves on the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West and South Sea coastal waters. The fine dust concentration will be 'moderate', while ultrafine dust will be 'bad' until the morning, returning to 'moderate' from the afternoon.


A Gwangju Meteorological Administration official said, "There may be places where the wind blows strongly with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s), so please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents."
