Removed Heat-Sensitive Bentgrass... Buyeong Maestro CC Reopens

Improved Maintenance Efficiency
and Enhanced Course Consistency

Maestro Country Club in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, operated by Booyoung Group, reopened on the 5th after being closed for a month to replace the turf across the entire 235,000㎡ (approximately 71,000 pyeong) of fairways and roughs.

On the 7th, Booyoung Group announced that at Maestro Country Club, the existing Kentucky bluegrass was removed and replaced with Anyang zoysia and Jangseong zoysia. The course, which previously had a mix of bentgrass and zoysia, is now maintained with a single zoysia variety.

Zoysia grass, which is vulnerable to heatwaves, used to die and require restoration every summer, creating a vicious cycle. Maintenance costs increased, and golfers experienced inconvenience. Booyoung undertook a full replacement to change this structure.

Not only the turf but the overall course quality has also improved. Booyoung stated, "We have simultaneously achieved improvements in course aesthetics and shot quality," adding, "By providing customers with the highest quality course, we will firmly maintain our position as a prestigious golf course."

Maestro CC opened as a membership course in 2009 and switched to a public course in 2016. Recently, it was selected as one of the top 10 public golf courses preferred by customers for 2024-2025.
