Nagasoo? No, I Am a Lecturer! ... Busan City Holds Audition for Leading Economic Education Lecturer

Recruitment of Participants for Instructor Selection and Training Program

I Am a Singer? No, "I Am an Instructor!" An unconventional audition to select instructors is taking place in Busan.

The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that it is recruiting citizens to participate in "I Am an Instructor!", a program to select and nurture leading economic education instructors in Busan, from the 7th to the 21st.

This program is designed to foster and select outstanding instructors through a competition format, with the aim of cultivating leading economic education instructors who can help Busan citizens engage in rational economic activities and acquire economic knowledge.

Now in its third year, the program was planned to discover instructors who can provide high-quality economic education to citizens. To this end, leading economic education instructors are being recruited.

The event is hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Government and organized by the Busan Regional Economic Education Center within the Busan Institute.

This year, the opportunity for citizen participation has been expanded so that any citizen interested in instructor activities can receive competency enhancement training for instructor activities.

Busan will select this year's center instructors through a first round of instructor competency enhancement training and a second round of video lecture demonstration evaluations for the recruited participants. Afterward, the top five in the on-site lecture demonstration will undergo a final on-site evaluation to determine the five leading economic education instructors in the Busan area.

Participants must complete the mandatory instructor competency enhancement training (April 29-30) and, if they score 80 points or higher in the video lecture demonstration evaluation in May, they will be eligible to serve as instructors at the Economic Education Center.

Only the top five participants with the highest scores in the video lecture demonstration evaluation will compete in the Outstanding Instructor Selection Contest, and rankings will be determined through an on-site lecture evaluation lasting up to 15 minutes, scheduled for around June.

The five outstanding instructors will receive certificates such as the Busan Mayor's Award according to their ranking, and will have the opportunity to build their instructor careers as leading instructors at the Busan Regional Economic Education Center. They will also be granted the privilege of a guaranteed number of annual lectures.

Any citizen aged 18 or older interested in economic education instructor activities can apply by email from the 7th to April 21st.

For more details regarding instructor selection, please visit the Busan Institute website or contact the Busan Economic Education Center by phone.

Busan plans to expand a network of capable personnel to secure diverse economic education content and establish a foundation for economic education through the "I Am an Instructor!" program.

Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Office of Busan, said, "As citizens' economic awareness and consciousness continue to rise, we hope for active participation to provide even more substantial and meaningful economic education."
