Nighttime Scenic Lighting Extended Until the 13th
The 3rd Gochang Cherry Blossom Festival, titled 'Were You Waiting, Spring?', in Gochang County, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, successfully concluded on the 6th.
According to the county on the 7th, the festival, which coincided with the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms, began with a pre-festival event on the 4th. The festivities continued with an opening ceremony featuring popular guest singers, as well as a local residents and youth festival, all of which heightened the excitement of the event.

In particular, the highlight of this year's cherry blossom festival was the nighttime scenic lighting, which featured a dazzling illumination and various photo zones beneath the endlessly stretching cherry blossom tunnel, drawing visitors late into the night. In addition, a variety of hands-on programs, rest areas throughout the venue, and reasonably priced food options received an enthusiastic response.
County Governor Sim Deokseop said, “We are grateful to the many tourists who visited during the festival,” and added, “We ask for your continued interest and participation in major upcoming festivals such as the 22nd Gochang Cheongboribat Festival.”
Meanwhile, the nighttime scenic lighting, which was especially popular during this festival, will be extended and operated until the 13th.
