Andong Branch of Korea Photographers Association Donates ID Photos for Wildfire Victims

Warm Consolation and Hope Captured in a Single Small Photograph

The Andong branch of the Korea Photographers Association (Branch Director Jeon Taeguk, hereafter referred to as the Andong branch) has taken proactive steps to support those displaced by the large-scale wildfire who have lost their homes and are currently staying in shelters.

On April 2 and 3, the Andong branch visited Andong Gymnasium and carried out a talent donation activity by taking free ID photos for the wildfire victims.

At that time, Andong Gymnasium was crowded with residents who had lost their homes due to the wildfire and were temporarily evacuated there. To assist those struggling with administrative procedures due to the loss of identification cards, the Andong branch set up a temporary studio and provided ID and passport photo services.

Over the two days, around 50 residents from Iljik-myeon, Imha-myeon, and Namsun-myeon visited the gymnasium for photo shoots. On the afternoon of the 3rd, the team moved to the multipurpose gymnasium and took additional photos for about 20 more victims, delivering a message of warm consolation.

Branch Director Jeon Taeguk said, "It was heartbreaking to see people who lost their homes to the wildfire living in shelters," and added, "Together with our members, we decided to offer this talent donation as a small way to help with what we do best."

He continued, "Although it is just a small photo, I hope it helps the victims regain hope and return to their daily lives."

Meanwhile, the Andong branch's talent donation not only provided practical help to the wildfire victims but also served as a reminder of the value of warm solidarity and sharing within the local community.
