[Yoon Suk-yeol Impeachment] Park Jie-won: "Yoon's Removal Is Not the End, but the Beginning... We Must Unite as One"

Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, held a party member resolution meeting at the local office in Haenam and Wando, South Jeolla Province on the 5th. He declared a strong commitment to regime change, stating, "The removal of former President Yoon Suk-yeol is not the end, but the beginning."

About 500 key local party members attended the meeting, reaffirming their determination to achieve regime change following the impeachment of former President Yoon. The attendees voiced their commitment, saying, "We will carry on the people's will for the removal of Yoon Suk-yeol and achieve regime change without fail."

The Constitutional Court accepted the National Assembly's request for impeachment against former President Yoon on the 4th, resulting in his removal from office. Regarding this, Representative Park emphasized, "Our people have removed former President Yoon Suk-yeol. Now, our task is regime change."

He continued, "The media and political commentators have said there would be great confusion regardless of whether the impeachment was dismissed or accepted, but I have consistently argued, 'If dismissed, there will be riots; if removed, the people will move toward the future.' It has now been proven that my judgment was correct."

Additionally, Representative Park mentioned that he had initially opposed the impeachment of Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok, stating, "'Our goal is Yoon Suk-yeol.' At the time, I received much criticism, but now people are saying, 'As expected from Park Ji-won.'"

He further asserted, "Politicians must keep their promises and must not neglect even a single citizen, no matter how small the group. Politics is a constant process of training and action. Now, we must not disperse but unite as one. That is the path to the great reform of the Republic of Korea."

In conclusion, Representative Park urged party members, "Now that we have removed Yoon Suk-yeol, our goal, through the power of the people, it is time to achieve even greater innovation: regime change and the great reform of the Republic of Korea. Let us work together with a spirit of struggle until that day."
