Fire at Gongdeok Market Restaurant in Mapo-gu... Customers and Gosiwon Residents Evacuated

At around 7:28 PM on the 4th, a fire broke out at a restaurant inside Gongdeok Market in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and the fire department is currently extinguishing it.

Due to the fire, restaurant customers having dinner and residents of a nearby goshiwon evacuated. The fire department is providing emergency treatment on-site to some of them and assisting their recovery.

The fire department contained the major flames by 8:04 PM, about 30 minutes later. The police and fire department plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire once it is completely extinguished.
