Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Taeyeol) signed a business agreement on the 4th with Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Busan-Gyeongnam Business Headquarters (Director Kim Jindo) and KT Busan-Gyeongnam Corporate Customer Headquarters (Director Noh Hyungrae) to support the startup and global growth of local digital companies.
Through this agreement, the three organizations will discover "super-gap" companies based on digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud, and big data in the region and establish an integrated support system encompassing both technology and finance. "Super-gap digital companies" refer to companies with outstanding technological capabilities and competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
The main areas of cooperation include financial and non-financial support, support for the use of AI and cloud, and support for education and policy. In particular, in connection with the "Centum Cloud Cluster" operated by Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, they plan to provide cloud and AI education programs and expand customized support according to each stage of corporate growth.
In addition, the organizations will jointly promote forums, seminars, and networking events to discover promising companies. The plan is to proactively support companies with strong technology but difficulties in entering the market, thereby enhancing the overall digital competitiveness of the local industry.
Kim Taeyeol, President of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, said, "Through this agreement, we have established a practical foundation for cooperation that combines technology, finance, and infrastructure," adding, "We will create an environment in which local companies can achieve tangible results through education and financial support tailored to their growth stages."
