Strengthening Communication Through Empathetic Content
Adding emotion to administration. Hoengseong County, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Myung-gi) has launched a public official YouTube supporters group to communicate with residents through video content.

On the 4th at 3 p.m., Hoengseong County held the inauguration ceremony for the ‘Hoengseong County Public Official YouTube Supporters’ in the county office’s large conference room and officially appointed 17 public officials as supporters.
The supporters’ activities are expected to be a new attempt to innovate communication methods with residents through content directly planned and produced by public officials from a fresh perspective.
The inauguration ceremony included the awarding of appointment letters, sharing of activity plans, member introductions, and free discussions. Notably, Na Jun-woo, team leader of I Am Communications, who will advise on content planning, attended to explain the plan for producing the supporters’ introduction video and discussed the filming schedule.
The supporters will be responsible for △analyzing the latest YouTube trends △proposing ideas △drafting planning and directing outlines. Additionally, public officials talented in dance, singing, acting, and more will appear directly in the videos, handling filming and simple editing, participating in the overall content production process.
Jeon Jae-do, Hoengseong County Planning and Budget Officer, said, "Promotion involving direct participation by public officials will allow us to deliver Hoengseong County’s policies and stories more vividly," adding, "We expect it to serve as a creative and lively communication channel."
Meanwhile, Hoengseong County plans to begin full-scale activities starting with the first regular meeting this month. At the end of the year, outstanding supporters will be selected to receive the governor’s commendation and prize money, and incentives such as priority selection for benchmarking activities will also be provided.
