Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to experience rain accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning on Saturday (5th), while Sunday (6th) will be clear with a temperature difference of around 15 degrees between morning and afternoon. Yonhap News
Gwangju and Jeonnam will experience contrasting weather this weekend, with rainy conditions on Saturday and clear skies on Sunday.
On Saturday the 5th, rain is expected across all areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam from early morning, tapering off by late afternoon. The expected rainfall is around 5mm, which is not much, but some areas may experience gusty winds along with thunder and lightning.
On the following day, the 6th, mostly clear weather is expected. The temperature difference between morning and daytime will approach 15 degrees Celsius. In some inland areas, morning temperatures may drop to as low as 1 degree Celsius, making it feel quite chilly.
The Gwangju Meteorological Administration stated, "During the rain, there is a possibility of strong winds, thunder and lightning, and gusts. After the rain stops, winds may reach instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s). Please pay attention to the management of outdoor facilities and safety accidents, and be cautious about traffic safety as well."
