Daffodils, Moss Phlox, and Fragrant Carnations Planted
Wanju County in North Jeolla Province announced on the 4th that residents of Mangsang Village in Gui-myeon have created a flower bed along the trail around Gui Reservoir.
To enhance the landscape of the trail area, the county established flower beds and improved the village environment. The event was attended by Kim Jonghak, head of Mangsang Village, participants of the senior job program (Senior Club), local residents, and Gui-myeon staff, who removed weeds and planted perennial flowers such as daffodils, moss phlox, and fragrant carnations.

For the past eight years, Kim has voluntarily cultivated flower beds to provide a pleasant environment for village residents. Currently, he manages the flower beds together with participants of the senior job program (Senior Club), contributing to the beautification of the village landscape.
Choi Euna, head of Gui-myeon, said, "I hope that the flower beds created together with the residents will bring vitality to the village and provide healing for the residents," adding, "We will continue to support resident-led village landscape improvement projects in the future."
Meanwhile, starting with Mangsang Village, Gui-myeon plans to continue the flower bed cultivation campaign in 12 villages through the senior job program (Senior Club).
