Namwon City and LX to Establish AI Farming Management Service 'Nongview'

Namywon City in North Jeolla Province is expected to begin full-scale implementation of the smart farming management service 'Nong-View' as part of the 2025 Smart Village Distribution and Expansion Public Project in collaboration with Korea Land and Geospatial InformatiX Corporation (LX).

Namywon City and Korea Land and Geospatial InformatiX Corporation recently announced on the 4th that they have signed a business agreement to promote smart farming management services based on high-resolution drone imaging technology and AI analysis.


The main points of the agreement include: ▲ Establishment of a high-resolution drone imaging and geospatial information platform ▲ Drone imaging and AI-based management of forage crop production and farmland usage surveys ▲ Development of support services for greenhouse operation management.


Under this agreement, Namywon City plans to build a smart farming management system that covers everything from forage crop production management based on drone and AI technology to greenhouse operation management and farmland usage surveys.


Specifically, starting with the implementation of the agreement, from this month until November, the city plans to: ▲ Conduct drone imaging by growth stage, including precision imaging by parcel ▲ Build a farming management database ▲ Establish an AI platform (model service). The administrative service for farming management utilizing the AI platform is expected to be fully launched after service testing.


A city official stated, "Through this project, we expect to efficiently solve the difficulties of farming management using drone and AI technology," and added, "Going forward, Namywon City will continue to utilize drone and AI technology to precisely assess the status of farming, actively reflect this in administration, and take the lead in building more accurate and efficient agricultural administrative services."
