Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC) has separately commissioned the electrical design services for the 'Game Convergence Space Development Project' to enhance the quality and expertise of electrical design.

In recent construction projects, architectural design services have typically been commissioned as a package, including electrical design. This has led to criticism regarding the lack of independence in electrical design work.

In response, BMC will separate the commissioning of architectural and electrical design services starting with the 'Game Convergence Space Development Project,' in order to secure electrical expertise from the early stages of design and to ensure more precise and safer construction.

During this separate commissioning process, BMC will expand direct participation opportunities for local specialized companies, including small and medium-sized electrical design firms, to create local jobs and revitalize the Busan economy. In addition, BMC plans to actively consider expanding separate commissioning to other fields, such as electrical supervision services, using this electrical design separation as a starting point.

Shin Changho, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, said, "Starting with the Game Convergence Space Development Project, we plan to expand the separate commissioning of electrical design services to various future projects," and added, "By fostering a design culture centered on technical expertise, we will improve the quality of life for citizens and lead the growth of the local engineering industry."
