Where Are the Three Locations for 'Everyday Life Forests' in Buildings Across Busan?

This year, three indoor locations in Busan will be transformed into 'forests'.

The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced on the 4th that it has secured 500 million KRW in national funding for the 2025 Urban Lifestyle Forest Creation Project and will officially begin the project to create indoor gardens.

The Urban Lifestyle Forest Creation Project is a Busan initiative designed to supplement the city's lack of green spaces and provide citizens with a nature-friendly environment.

These indoor forests will serve not only as aesthetically pleasing spaces but also as areas to improve indoor air quality and offer citizens a variety of cultural, educational, and healing programs.

This year, indoor gardens will be established at three locations: Busan Complex Innovation Center, the 12th floor of Busan City Hall, and Busan Global Village.

With the Busan Complex Innovation Center (small library) in Yeongdo-gu as the main hub, the city aims to provide indoor garden spaces to improve quality of life and enhance the environment.

Ahn Cheolsoo, Director of the Green City Bureau of Busan, stated, "We believe this will provide citizens with spaces to enjoy nature and heal in their daily lives, and will significantly contribute to improving indoor air quality. We will continue to promote various projects to expand green spaces within the city."
