Hanssem announced on the 4th that over 50 employees participated in a tree-planting volunteer activity during the 'Forest of Happiness' creation event held in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi Province.

About 300 participants, including Hanssem employees, Siheung Mayor Im Byung-taek, key guests, company representatives, and citizens, took part in the event held the previous day. The participants planted approximately 2,300 Korean pines and cornelian cherry trees in areas lacking trees within the buffer green zone around Geobukseom Island.

The Forest of Happiness creation event is a green space expansion project involving Siheung citizens and companies. The goal is to reduce air pollution and noise through green space development and ultimately create urban parks to provide citizens with nature-friendly resting areas.

Hanssem participated in the event to replenish wood, a major raw material for furniture, and to contribute to the development of the Siheung community where Hanssem’s 5th factory is located.

A Hanssem representative stated, "We plan to continuously pay attention to ensure that the trees planted this time grow healthily," adding, "We will continue to promote activities for ecosystem preservation to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
