Masan Happo-gu of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held the appointment ceremony and first meeting of the 2025 Resident Participatory Budget Adjustment Council in the conference room on the 6th floor of the district office.

The event, held on the 3rd, was attended by the head of Masan Happo-gu, eight local city council members, and 26 members of the Adjustment Council. During the appointment ceremony, appointment certificates were presented to the council members, and the vice-chairperson was elected.

Additionally, the members pledged to carry out their roles fairly in the review and adjustment process of future resident participatory budget proposals, and promised to make efforts to ensure that residents' opinions are actively reflected.

The Adjustment Council is composed of local residents, experts, and city council members, and plays a key role in reviewing and adjusting budget projects proposed directly by residents. This year, the council plans to gather a wide range of opinions to promote substantial regional development.

Park Dongjin, head of Masan Happo-gu, said, "The resident participatory budgeting system is an important system in which residents directly participate in budget formulation to bring about real changes in the local community. I hope that the members of the Adjustment Council will reflect the voices of the residents and contribute to making Masan Happo-gu a better place."
