Kibo Establishes 'Technology Know-How Center' to Support Technology Transfer for SMEs

Demand-Oriented Customized Brokerage Services

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) announced on the 4th that it has established a 'Technology Know-how Center' to support technological innovation in small and venture businesses.

The Technology Know-how Center was introduced to promote the transfer of unstructured technical materials such as technical documents, source codes, and technical guidance, in addition to standardized intellectual property rights like patents. KOTEC plans to diversify supply technologies and expand the usability of the platform for demand companies by newly establishing the Technology Know-how Center within 'Smart Tech Bridge,' the largest technology trading platform in Korea.

At the Technology Know-how Center, demand-oriented customized brokerage services are provided, including ▲standardization and multiple registrations of technology registration know-how technical explanation materials (SMK) forms ▲various condition searches specialized for technology search know-how ▲recommendation and matching of demand technologies based on recommended matching keywords.

On this day, KOTEC held a meeting with universities and public research institutes, the platform's main users and key partners, to gather opinions on increasing the utilization of the Technology Know-how Center. In particular, to prevent technology theft and leakage that may occur during the know-how technology transfer process, the use of KOTEC's technology protection platform 'Tech-Safe' was also discussed. KOTEC plans to reflect field voices to build a safe technology trading environment and promote technology transfer.
