NanoBrick announced on the 4th that it has signed a contract with Ascan Co., Ltd., a data center operator, to jointly enter the data center business. This is an additional achievement following the 10MW (megawatt) scale contract with DCC (Design City) on the 1st.
The company explained that the area is located within an industrial complex, so there are no complaints. After purchasing the site, NanoBrick plans to proceed with building permits and construction starting in August.
A NanoBrick official stated, "While demand for data centers is high due to the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, supply is limited, so profitability and growth potential are high," adding, "We expect both corporate value enhancement and performance growth."
He continued, "NanoBrick only participates in projects where key power reception permits and end users are secured for data centers," emphasizing, "In addition to the primary and secondary phases, each with a scale of 10MW, we plan to develop additional data centers."
Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, NanoBrick held a shareholders' meeting at its headquarters in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, and announced that it will change its company name to NanoSilicon Advanced Materials. The new business objectives include adding data center development and operation alongside the existing silicon anode secondary battery business.
