Selection of 4,004 Military Officials in 2025... Application Opens from the 25th

Recruitment Process Includes Written Exam in July and Interview in September

The Ministry of National Defense will recruit 4,004 military civilian employees this year.


On the 3rd, the Ministry of National Defense announced that it has finalized the recruitment number for military civilian employees at 4,004 and published the "2025 Military Civilian Employee Open Competitive Recruitment Examination and Career Competitive Recruitment Examination Implementation Plan."

This new recruitment includes 3,500 open competitive hires and 504 career competitive hires. Additionally, to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities within the public sector, the Ministry of National Defense and each military branch will separately announce the recruitment of 731 disabled military civilian employees (77 at grade 7, 654 at grade 9).


The 2025 military civilian employee recruitment examination implementation plan will be announced through the websites of the recruiting institutions (Ministry of National Defense and each military branch). The Ministry of National Defense will conduct the career competitive recruitment examinations for grade 5 and above military civilian employees of each military branch and Ministry-affiliated units (institutions), as well as the open competitive recruitment examinations for Ministry-affiliated units (institutions). Each military branch will conduct career competitive recruitment examinations for grade 6 and below military civilian employees of the respective branch and Ministry-affiliated units (institutions), as well as open competitive recruitment examinations for the respective branch.


Applications will be accepted through the Ministry of National Defense and each military branch’s websites starting from the 25th. Final successful candidates will be selected after a written examination (in July) and an interview examination (in September). In addition, recruitment examinations for fixed-term military civilian employees and professional military civilian career officers will be separately announced through the websites of the Ministry of National Defense, each military branch, and Ministry-affiliated units (institutions).


The Ministry of National Defense stated, "We will do our best to select talented individuals who wish to serve the public by injecting new vitality into the military and enhancing institutional capabilities through fair and strict examination management."
