Samjin Pharmaceutical recently announced on the 3rd that it has donated a total of 100 million KRW worth of pharmaceuticals, health functional foods, and cash donations to help the victims and local communities severely affected by the large-scale wildfire that occurred in the Gyeongsang-do region.
Specifically, the in-kind donations include essential emergency medicines such as the antipyretic analgesic 'Geborin' and the anxiolytic 'Anjeong-aek,' as well as health functional foods like 'Haruein Plus' and 'Immun Booster Shot,' which help boost immunity and restore vitality. These will be used to protect the health of the affected residents and aid in their speedy recovery.
Samjin Pharmaceutical donated pharmaceuticals and health functional foods worth approximately 50 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross through the 'Pharmaceutical Industry Emergency Relief Network,' in which the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association participates. In addition, a separate cash donation of 50 million KRW was also delivered for wildfire damage recovery. The funds will be used for urgent relief activities aimed at the prompt restoration of the affected areas and the stabilization of housing and living conditions for the victims.
Jo Gyu-seok, CEO of Samjin Pharmaceutical, stated, "We extend our deepest condolences to the local residents who have lost their homes and are suffering due to the unexpected large-scale wildfire," and added, "We hope that the small sincerity of Samjin Pharmaceutical’s employees will help with the recovery efforts and the swift return to normal life."
