Bio-regenerative medicine specialist CGBio recently announced on the 3rd that it successfully held the global seminar "Wound Meet the Masters 2025," focused on wound treatment, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Beijing, China.
"Meet the Masters" is an event where domestic and international medical professionals share academic presentations, live demonstrations, and procedural know-how across various fields such as spine care, wound management, and cosmetic surgery. This seminar was held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the launch of CGBio's flagship wound treatment product, the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) medical device "CURAVAC." A total of 86 medical professionals and local partners from six countries?Korea, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia?participated.
At the event, CGBio’s key wound treatment solutions were introduced, including ▲CURAVAC ▲CURASYS ▲CG Paste ▲CGDerm Matrix.
▲CURASYS is a negative pressure wound therapy device that applies negative pressure to the wound area to continuously remove exudate and reduce infection risk, effectively promoting tissue regeneration. The accompanying ▲CURAVAC is a foam dressing product that helps maintain the negative pressure environment, featuring a porous structure effective for granulation tissue formation and stabilizing the moist environment of the wound site to enhance treatment efficacy. ▲CG Paste is a collagen-based injectable biomaterial that induces tissue regeneration when applied to various wounds and offers ease of application. Additionally, ▲CGDerm Matrix is a high-performance artificial dermis product suitable for complex wound areas where reconstruction is difficult.
The seminar consisted of three sessions covering various wound types such as trauma, burns, and diabetic foot ulcers, sharing the latest clinical application cases. In the first ▲Trauma session, Professor Ivan Hendra Sudarmawan from EMC Hospital in Indonesia and Professor Le Minh Hoan from Khanh Hoa General Hospital in Vietnam presented their treatment experiences with infectious wounds and lower limb tissue defects. Following them, Professor Kim Yeonhwan from Hanyang University Hospital in Korea and Professor Jo Hangju from Uijeongbu St. Mary’s Hospital introduced trauma patient treatment cases using CGBio products and shared treatment strategies.
In the second ▲Burn session, Professor Laurence Tan Loh from Jose Reyes Medical Center in the Philippines, Professor Huntal Napoleon Simamora from Jakarta National Police Hospital in Indonesia, and Professor Tuo Xiaoye from Peking University Shuguang Hospital in China shared cases of negative pressure therapy and skin graft utilization in complex burn cases. The third ▲Diabetic Foot session featured in-depth presentations on recurrent ulcers and negative pressure therapy techniques by Professor Taweesak Srikummoon from Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital in Thailand, Professor Jeon Daewon from Bucheon St. Mary’s Hospital in Korea, and Professor Kim Sanghwa from Seoul National University Hospital.
Hands-on training using CURASYS and CURAVAC was also conducted on-site, providing attendees with opportunities to directly experience the operation and clinical application methods of the products. Participating medical professionals discussed various application strategies tailored to their respective treatment environments and engaged in broad communication regarding the direction of wound care.
Notably, participating countries including China and Indonesia are regions where demand for wound treatment is continuously increasing due to rising trauma incidence. Through events like this, CGBio strives to share practical treatment solutions and clinical experiences with global medical professionals, supporting effective treatment across diverse environments.
Yoo Hyunseung, CEO of CGBio, stated, "Our 'Meet the Masters' global seminar program goes beyond simple product education; it is a platform where medical professionals worldwide share treatment strategies based on real clinical experience and collaboratively develop patient-centered treatment solutions. Moving forward, CGBio will continue to strive to provide the optimal total wound treatment solution."
