Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Launches Monimo Exclusive Cancer Insurance 'Back to Daily Life'

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 3rd that it has launched a cancer insurance product called ‘Back to Daily Life,’ which provides cancer diagnosis benefits and daily life support payments for up to 24 months.

With recent advances in medical technology increasing cancer survival rates, the ‘life after treatment’ for cancer patients has become an important issue. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s cancer insurance ‘Back to Daily Life’ was developed based on the need for minimum financial support during the process of returning to daily life after cancer treatment.

This product covers up to 5 million KRW for cancer diagnosis benefits to compensate for early-stage surgery costs, as well as support for recovery and daily life expenses after cancer treatment. The cancer daily life support payment provides 2 million KRW monthly for 24 months starting six months after the cancer diagnosis, totaling 48 million KRW.

‘Back to Daily Life’ is an exclusive product on Samsung Financial Networks’ integrated platform ‘Monimo’ and can be easily subscribed to through the ‘Monimo’ application.

The eligible age for subscription is from 19 to a maximum of 65 years old, and the insurance period is a 20-year renewable term. After the initial subscription, coverage is guaranteed without premium increases for up to 20 years, and through renewal, coverage can extend up to 100 years of age.

A Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance official stated, “Now, not only direct cancer treatment but also returning to one’s original daily life after cancer treatment is an important issue,” adding, “We will continue to strive to create insurance products that can cover the practical problems customers face.”
