"Providing Wildfire Relief" ... Changwon Chamber of Commerce Delivers Wildfire Relief Fund to Gyeongsangnam-do

23 Member Companies Participate, Raising 154 Million KRW
Support to Be Provided Through the Gyeongnam Branch of the Korean Red Cross

On the afternoon of the 2nd, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Government and delivered a total of 154 million KRW in relief donations for wildfire victims in the Gyeongnam region to Governor Park Wansu.

"Providing Wildfire Relief" ... Changwon Chamber of Commerce Delivers Wildfire Relief Fund to Gyeongsangnam-do Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry donates funds to Gyeongsangnam-do for wildfire relief.

Attending the donation ceremony were Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Vice Chairmen Park Jungwoo and Lee Nyeonho, members Kim Dooyeon and Lee Hyogeun, and Park Heesoon, Chairman of the Gyeongnam branch of the Korean Red Cross.


This donation was prepared by the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 23 member companies to help residents affected by the wildfires in Gyeongnam, which was recently declared a special disaster area, and to encourage the firefighting authorities who devoted themselves at the disaster site. The support from the donations will be provided through the Gyeongnam branch of the Korean Red Cross.


In the fundraising, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry contributed 20 million KRW, Muhak Joeundeinaum Foundation donated 50 million KRW, and Weltem, STX Engine, GMB Korea, and K Shipbuilding each contributed 10 million KRW. Korea Yanase, Woosoo AMS, and Inhwa Junggong each donated 5 million KRW.


Additionally, SL Electronics, Boseong Development, Namgwang Oil Sales, Gyeongnam Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Samkwang Electric each contributed 3 million KRW, while Sanghwa, Korea Tsubakimoto Automotive, Youngjin Plastic, and Hanshin Information each donated 2 million KRW. Dongsin Packaging, Masan Wholesale Market, Hwajin Steel, SMH, Taekwang, and Changwon Heavy Equipment AM Center each contributed 1 million KRW, sharing their warm hearts.


Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "As the local community suffered great damage from the sudden wildfires, I am deeply grateful to the companies for coming together in support. I hope this donation will be of some help to the recovery of the affected residents and the firefighting authorities."
