[Seoul Mobility Show] Hyundai Nexo Unveiled at 'Largest Ever' Exhibition (Comprehensive)

Hyundai Motor Company's next-generation hydrogen electric vehicle, the new Nexo, was unveiled for the first time in the world at the Seoul Mobility Show. Returning as a full-change model after 7 years, the new Nexo secures a driving range of over 700 km with a charging time of around 5 minutes.

On the 3rd, Hyundai Motor showcased the 2nd generation new Nexo at Korea's largest mobility industry exhibition, the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show,' held at KINTEX in Goyang. The new Nexo features lamps shaped after Hyundai's hydrogen business brand 'HTWO,' giving it a unique design exclusive to hydrogen electric vehicles.

Equipped with two inverters, the '2-stage motor system' raises motor efficiency up to 90%, achieving a maximum motor output of 150 kW based on this. During everyday driving, one inverter operates, and during high-speed driving, both inverters operate to deliver maximum power. The time to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h is 7.8 seconds.

Hyundai also unveiled the designs of the new electric sedan Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 6 N Line for the first time. The facelifted Ioniq 6 inherits Hyundai's existing electrified vehicle design concept while maximizing a sleek image with attractive curves and beautiful proportions. At this event, Hyundai created the largest booth of approximately 2,600㎡ (about 787 pyeong) and exhibited a full lineup of eco-friendly vehicles. Jos? Mu?oz, Hyundai Motor's CEO, stated, "We will continue to innovate future mobility based on Hyundai's DNA," and expressed his ambition, saying, "We will lead the electrification era with high-quality products and a customer-centric product lineup."

Kia unveiled the first model of its demand-tailored electric vehicle purpose-built mobility (PBV), the PV5 production vehicle. The PV5 is a mid-sized PBV developed for various uses such as mobility services, logistics, and leisure activities. Kia also concretized its PBV business vision and simultaneously introduced the brand's first pickup truck, the Tasman Weekender concept model.

Genesis, celebrating its 10th anniversary, revealed two concept cars embodying its new flagship vision for the first time worldwide. The X Gran Coupe Concept and X Gran Convertible Concept were introduced to the global market for the first time. The design of the high-performance vehicle 'GMR-001 Hypercar,' expressing the brand's intention to enter motorsports, was also unveiled domestically for the first time.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD installed a large-scale booth right next to Hyundai at this exhibition, aggressively demonstrating its determination to challenge the Korean market. They exhibited eight models, including the mid-sized electric sedan Seal and mid-sized electric SUV Sea Lion 7, both scheduled for release in the domestic market this year, as well as the flagship SUV U8 from the premium brand Yangwang. They also held a test drive event for the small electric SUV Atto 3, which was launched earlier this year in the domestic market and is currently accepting pre-orders.

Participating in the domestic mobility show for the first time, Lotte Group showcased mobility technologies and services utilizing core battery materials, hydrogen value chains, and future energy infrastructure. Lotte Innovate unveiled Korea's first autonomous shuttle permitted to operate at 40 km/h and conducted test drive events. HD Hyundai introduced next-generation excavators from Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore. This was the first time construction machinery appeared at the Seoul Mobility Show. The concept of expanding the exhibition scope to all means of transportation is the overarching theme of this mobility show.
