The 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival will open on May 1, with May 3 designated as "Ambassadors' Day" in Yeoju City as a special event. Declaring 2025 as the "Year One of Tourism," Yeoju City plans to put full effort into large-scale events to revitalize tourism.
The event will feature congratulatory performances by top domestic artists such as singer Hye-eun Lee, Taei, and soprano Sindella. Hye-eun Lee, a national singer who led the popular music scene in the 1970s and 1980s, has left numerous hit songs like "You Wouldn't Know" and "The Third Hangang Bridge," earning love across generations. Recently, through the KBS variety show "Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together - Yeoju Edition," she formed a special bond with Yeoju, making this performance even more meaningful.
Additionally, Taei, beloved for emotional ballads such as "Love Leaves a Scent" and "Same Pillow," will take the stage to deliver a deeply moving performance. Taei, who has been actively balancing musical theater and broadcasting activities recently, is expected to elevate the festival atmosphere with his uniquely sweet voice. Furthermore, Sindella, a crossover soprano and musical actress, will present a special stage that crosses classical and popular music genres.
The event will be hosted by actor Ahn Seung-hoon. Known for his impressive performances in numerous works including the drama "Rustic Period," he is expected to enhance the festival atmosphere with his characteristic smooth hosting and witty remarks.
Lee Soon-yeol, chairman of the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, which organizes the event, stated, "Through 'Ambassadors' Day' with top domestic artists, Yeoju City will further solidify its status as a tourism city. We will do our best to prepare until the very end so that the Yeoju Ceramic Festival can bring joy to many people. We hope everyone enjoys Yeoju ceramics and culture and has a special time."
Meanwhile, the 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival will be held from May 1 to May 11 around the Sinreuksa tourist area in Yeoju City. The festival will include the "Year One of Tourism" proclamation ceremony, the opening ceremony of the Namhangang Suspension Bridge, and various experience, exhibition, and performance programs.
